NO INJURIES IS 2-STORY VACANT FIRE

May 8, 2008: Unexcelled Fire Company was dispatched along with Station 2 and Station 1 to a "possible" structure fire at 293 Drummond Avenue. The call came it just after 5:00 pm. The first due engine, 34-2-75 arrived and reported a working fire. A general alarm was transmited. 34-2-75's crew stretched a line and made entry. Unexcelled's engine 34-4-75 arrived and established a water source. The crew assisted the hose team and began outside ventilation - removing the boarded up windows. The first due truck 34-1-90 went to the roof and opened up, as Unexcelled's engine 34-76 (acting 34-4-90) performed primary and secondary searches.
